GCA’s Logic program is designed to draw on students’ emerging ability to engage in dialectical thinking. Subjects are integrated to help students make skillful connections between areas of study. We teach in a context of discipleship in order to “train the loves” (Aristotle), that is, to guide students to feel and act in accordance with truth, goodness and beauty. The Logic Program also seeks to:
- solidify understanding of the broad sweep of history
- hone skills in essay-writing and logical argument
- increase command of language through Latin study
- ensure a solid foundation in the scientific method and the process of experimentation
- continue to develop mathematics skills incrementally
